Dear Edgewood Neighbors,
First, I want to say thank you to the Mac Fest Coordinators. Neighbor in Need Edgewood can not provide housing improvements for elderly low-income neighbors without you, sponsors, and volunteers. Through sponsorship, libation sales, and ticket sales, we’ve raised over $35,000 for Neighbor in Need Edgewood in the last two years.
I regret to inform you that I’ve decided to postpone the 3rd Annual Mac and Cheese Festival to the spring of 2019 (April). I think we have an opportunity to make the festival significantly larger, with more Edgewood residents’ involvement, and local restaurants with a location change to the Edgewood-Candler Park MARTA Station at SPOKE. It will also give us more time to plan. We have several new developments, and new neighbors at the northern side of Edgewood, and I would like to take advantage of this. Our vision as a neighborhood is to be public transportation friendly, and engage young and old residents.
I hate to cancel the planned October festival, but this could be a huge redirection for the neighborhood. Thanks for your understanding.
