I want to invite you to a special Zoning 101 meeting hosted by Organized Neighbors of Edgewood. As many people move into the neighborhood and want to get involved, it would benefit everyone to spend a couple hours discussing the City of Atlanta zoning, variance, and permitting process, how ONE fits into that process, and how you as a resident of Edgewood can contribute to the process.
During this interactive presentation, we will discuss:
A brief history of our neighborhood
The City of Atlanta NPU and neighborhood system
How residents of Edgewood can impact the change our neighborhood is going through
The current Edgewood Master Plan, policies, best practices, and case studies
I am holding this session in order to help you ensure your voice is heard in the zoning, variance, and permitting process. By knowing how the zoning, variance, and permitting process works and what you can do to influence it, you will be empowered to impact the results constructively and effectively. I understand this is very short notice, however with the developments and zoning votes fast approaching this month, it would benefit everyone to sit down and talk about process.

Where: 37 Hutchinson St – “Retreat at Edgewood” Office
About me: I am Omar Branson Zaki, former president of Organized Neighbors of Edgewood. 2019 is my tenth year in Edgewood, and I intend to stay here as I raise my small children. Both of my boys enrolled in Whitefoord, Inc as infants and have gone through their program – with my oldest graduating into Kindergarten this year at Toomer Elementary. I work for a large software company, and aside from owning my home, I am not financially tied to any Edgewood developers or projects.
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you there.
